UsageThe Hamilton Level is a tool used for pre-leveling the nuts of a bolt circle prior to pole installation. The tool provides a flat plane with 4 points of intimate contact and a reference bubble to ensure an accurate result. It employs a new method that requires only one step to level the nuts instead of the multi-step method currently used.
- Place the Hamilton Level on the bottom washers and nuts.
- Adjust the nuts to obtain a level plane with the tool. Remove the tool.
- If desired, mark the thread and nut contact point with permanent marker to note any jarring that may occur during the installer’s absence.
- The pole base is now ready for pole installation. Upon installation, a straight pole needs no further adjustment to meet standards for level and plumb.
The Hamilton Level is manufactured from an aircraft grade aluminum that is extremely durable, yet light weight. Each plate is manufactured straight, within + .006 inches. The tool has a protective ring around the bubble, and a built-in handle for convenience.
The bull’s eye bubble level can be replaced as necessary.
